SPIN – Multiparametric Spectral Patient Imaging – A cooperation project between ICCAS and Diaspective Vision

Together with the ICCAS (Innovation Center Computer Assiseted Surgery, University of Leipzig), Diaspective Vision is conducting the R&D project SPIN – Multiparametric Spectral Patient Imaging – Non-contact, non-invasive measuring of skin perfusion and surface moisture for the assessment of patient condition via hyperspectral imaging.

The basis for this new system is our innovative hyperspectral camera, the TI-CAM. It will be further developed for different medical and clinical application areas into a monitoring system with flexible application and reliable functionality. The System will acquire relevant skin perfusion and surface moisture parameters automatically from the recorded data and provides the data in a way suitable for the clinical users.

A reliable non-invasive and non-contact measurement system with high informative value in terms of skin perfusion and skin moisture is of high clinical significance with positive effects.

Until now, elaborate monitoring tasks or diagnostic support can only be given via mostly invasive procedures. Thus, the fundamental need of a non-invasive and non-contact measurement system is given.
