An example of a rheumatic systemic disease is systemic scleroderma with pulmonary and severe skin manifestations. The symptoms are acral ulcerations on the knuckles, which are highly inflammatory. In addition, the mobility of the fingers is severely limited. Images with the TIVITA® Tissue show a significantly higher oxygenation of the joints in the fingers, which suggests inflammation. This can be seen in the superficial (StO2), but also the deeper oxygenation (NIR perfusion).
